Loving your roundup of seasonal books, will be checking out a handful at the library tomorrow! And that Wordsworth quote is going to stay with me—would love to hear more about your commonplace book. I record a lot of quotes in my journals, but have never had a specific place for them but would be interested in doing so.

When the librarians see me coming they know I've got holds to pick up, hah!

Maybe I'll share more about commonplacing sometime. It's really as simple as dedicating a journal or notebook to quotes, poems, or whatnot. I tend to take screenshots or copy/voicememo something into my notes as a short-term solution then go back and record them by hand in my book. And hopefully, one day when my phone is long gone, my children and grandchildren will still have the book(s) to browse and get another glimpse into my mind.

Ohhh I love the idea of it becoming an heirloom of sorts! A beautiful practice in its simplicity.

I hope you had a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains! I live just off the Parkway, and it's the road I take on my commute to town.

I recently read this poem which I really liked. I had never heard of the author! https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/browse?volume=3&issue=4&page=21

Oh, well that's a fun place to live! I've never heard of this poet either; the poem is lovely.

"Stir from your roots, walk, poplar!

You are more beautiful than they are."

Thanks for sharing!

I've been enjoying some Wordsworth, too! Loved this one that was perfect for this spring season: https://allpoetry.com/To-My-Sister

Twins! I love these stanzas...

"No joyless forms shall regulate

Our living calendar:

We from to-day, my Friend, will date

The opening of the year.

Love, now a universal birth,

From heart to heart is stealing,

From earth to man, from man to earth:

--It is the hour of feeling."

Thanks for sharing!

Ah ..my eldest son lives near the Blue Ridge Parkway. I always enjoy the views when driving down to see him.
